First I should designate what a Senior Horse is in my research. I consider the biological changes that occur as a horse ages and now consider horses 12 years of age and older to be senior horses.

It is important to remember that as horses age their vitamin and trace mineral requirements increase by about 20%. The Vitamin E requirements actually increase by as much as 40%.

Stamina Plus has researched these requirements and has adjusted the Stamina Plus Senior Plus Supplement to meet the needs of the Senior Horse.

The minimum amount of Vitamin E needed daily by Senior Horses is 1000 iu. The requirement can actually be higher in working horses.
