I have blogged before about my concerns with beet pulp either in Senior diets or by itself. I recently received information from Canada about the reasons not to feed beet pulp. 1. Glyphosate from roundup ready sugar beets binds minerals and kills bacteria in the hind gut, 2. Beet pulp is a sponge for arsenic, 3. DCDIC is used to strip sugar from the sugar beets and is a toxin. The other ingredient commonly used in Senior diets is Soy Hulls which many times contains aluminum.

The take home message is what Stamina Plus has always promoted, Feeding oats will also work very well for the older horse.
