Stamina Plus frequently is asked questions about feeding horses in the cold weather, and when they are not being used do they benefit from Stamina Plus complete Equine supplement.  The answer to feeding the supplement is Yes.  At the research facility in Cody, Wyoming this winter we have just finished a feeding study to address this issue.  First the horses do not have blankets on this year and the horses went into the winter in good shape. I have discussed in the past that feeding Stamina Plus Supplement increases digestions of the feed by 15%.  Normally in the winter the rule of thumb is to increase the hay 10% to 20% per day.  The research results shows that for 1000 pound horse feeding 18 lbs of hay (2/3 grass and 1/3 Alfalfa) and one pound of oats with 3 ounces of Stamina Plus Equine Supplement has actually put weight on the horses and they are in excellent condition even the older horses.
